1)200g Chhole (Chickpeas)
2)2 Tomatoes
3)1 whole Onion
4)1/2 inch ginger
5)Powdered garam masala
-1 bay leaf
-1 cm piece of cinnamon
-1 Tsp Dhania (Coriander seeds)
-3 cloves
-1 Tsp Anar Dana (Dried pomegranate seeds)
-3-4 pepper corns
-1 Tsp Jeera (Cumin)

6)Salt to taste
7)1 Tsp Ajwain (Carom seeds)
8)1.5 Tbsp Ghee

Chhole masala is one of the all time classic healthy punjabi recipes, which like most of punjabi cooking is super healthy and super effective for building muscle. Chhole bhature street food is one of the staples of North India, but thanks to the heavy amount of fat they use, its not the healthiest option. Homemade chhole with heart friendly fats like ghee is the way to go. This is me unleashing my family’s prized chhole recipe to the beerbiceps viewers. Punjabi recipes vegetarian style have never tasted this delicious. High protein, high health and high AWWYEAH. What makes this chhole masala recipe even better is that this is a vegan recipe. Yes its a great high protein vegan bodybuilding recipe option. Combining the protein power of the vegan or vegetarian chickpeas with the charm of classic vegetarian punjabi food – This is my chhole masala recipe! Enjoy.
