Crispy Fried Shrimp Recipe

Welcome to Chinese Cooking. My name is Xiao Wei, even at a early age I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in northern Chinese, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.

A crispy yet juicy shrimps to satisfy the seafood lovers. great for as a starter.

370g Raw Shrimps
100g Breadcrumbs
1 Tsp Ground White Pepper
2 Egg Whites
4 Tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce

1. Remove the shells then cut along the back of each shrimp and remove the inner vein
2. Pat dry excess water off the shrimps using a paper towel
3. Separate 2 egg whites
4. Now sprinkle the white pepper over the shrimps and mix
5. Dip prawns into the egg white
6. Then roll the shrimps in the breadcrumbs, ensure an even coverage
7. Heat 1 litre of oil in a wok until smoking hot
8. Place the breaded shrimps in the hot oil one at the time
9. Deep fry for 1 to 3 minutes depending on the size of the shrimps
10. Gently turn the shrimps during frying
11. Remove from oil and drain
12. Garnish and serve with sweet chilli sauce
