Potoler Dolma – Famous Traditional Bengali Recipe Stuffed Potoler Dorma – Parwal Curry

Here is Complete recipe of Stuffed Potoler Dolma. It is very Special Delicious Bengali Veg Recipe. It is also known as Potoler Dorma. Watch this step by step recipe and make it your own.

Ingredients of Potoler Dolma:
1. Pointed gourd / Parwal / Potol (500 gms)
2. Grated Paneer (200 gm).
3. Grated Mawa / Khoya Kheer (100gm).
4. Plain yogurt (100gm)
5. Chopped onion (2 medium sizes)
6. Slitted Green chilli (4 no).
7. Turmeric powder (1 tsp).
8. Cumin powder (1 tsp)
9. Red chilli powder (1/2 tsp)
10. Ginger paste (2 tsp).
11. Garam masala
12. Cumin seeds ( ¼ tsp)
13. Raisins (1tbsp).
14. Garam masala powder (1 tsp)
15. Salt (as per your taste)
16. Sugar (as per your taste)
17. Mustard oil.
18. Ghee

Methods of How to Cook Potoler Dolma:
1. Ready the pointed gourd for stuffing.
2. Make a cut on pointed gourd and come out all the seeds.
3. Then take a mixing bowl. Add 200 gm grated paneer, 100 gm mawa / khoya kheer, ¼ tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. Mixed it well.
4. Add 2 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan. Add the mixture and fry well. Add ¼ tsp red chilli powder and ¼ tsp garam masala powder. Mixed it well.
5. Now stuffing is ready.
6. Stuff the pointed gourds.
7. Add mustard oil in hot pan. Fry the potols very well. Add 2pinch of turmeric powder.
8. Take 5 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan.
9. Add ¼ tsp of cumin seeds and garam masala. Fry it for 10 sec.
10. Add chopped onions. Fry till become golden brown.
11. Add 2 tsp ginger paste, slitted green chilli. Fry it in medium flame for 30 sec.
12. Add 1 tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp red chilli powder, and ½ tsp turmeric powder. Mixed it well.
13. Add 1 tsp sugar, and ½ tsp salt. Mixed it well.
14. Add 2 tbsp water. Then cook it in medium flame for 2 min.
15. Add 100 gm plain yogurt. Mixed it well. Cook for 30 sec.
16. Add 1cup water. When boiling add fried stuffed pointed gourd.
17. Add 1 tbsp raisins and cover the lid for 5 min in medium flame.
18. After 5 min turn over the potols and cover it again for 5 min.
19. Now cook in high flame.
20. Taste it. Add more salt and sugar as per your taste.
21. Add ½ tsp garam masala powder and 1 tsp ghee. Mixed it well.
22. Put off gas oven. Cover it for 5 min.
23. After 5 min serve hot Potoler Dolma with hot steamed rice.
