Watch how to make ‘Pasta In White Sauce’, a cheesy white pasta which is very easy to cook and tastes delicious.
Pasta is undoubtedly a comfort food at its best. Chef Kanak brings you an easy, hassle-free and extremely delicious pasta recipe that calls for a variety of flavourful ingredients that blend beautifully in red and white sauce and taste delicious.
2 cups boiled pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 small onion – chopped
1 small carrot
1/4 cup boiled corn
salt to taste
pepper to season
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all purpose flour / maida
1.5 cups milk
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp thyme (optional)
1/4 cup grated processed cheese or as desired
– In a pan, add olive oil and garlic and saute it for a while.
– Add the onions and again saute for a while.
– Add the vegetables – carrots, capsicum and corn and saute fora couple of minutes until they are slightly tender.
– Add salt and pepper and mix all the ingredients well. Let them cook for about a minute and then turn off the flame.
To make the white sauce:
– Melt butter in a pan.
– Add the all purpose flour / maida and keep stirring on a low to high flame.
– Before it changes its colour, add the warm milk to it. Keep whisking to avoid any lumps. Keep adding milk and keep whisking until the texture becomes thick, smooth and creamy without any lumps.
– Add salt, pepper, mixed herb seasoning, red chilli flakes, basil and thyme.
To make pasta:
– Add the cooked vegetables and boiled pasta to the prepared sauce and cook for another couple of minutes.
– Add the grated cheese and give it a last stir.
– The delicious cheesy pasta is ready to be served.
