How to Make Spaghetti w Meat & Mushroom Sauce

1 pound ground beef
1 cup diced onions
1 cup diced bell peppers
1 container of slice mushrooms
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 28oz can tomato sauce
2 tsp. basil
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. Italian seasonings
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tbsp. tomato paste
salt and black pepper
***extra seasonings as wanted – I added 1 tsp combination
basil/italian seasonings/oregano at last 10 minutes of
cooking. This gives it a burst of freshness and extra flavor.

In a pan on medium heat add ground beef, stir, chop and cook
for 5 minutes until most of liquid is absorbed. You can drain
the excess fat.

Add onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, salt and black pepper.
Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add minced garlic and tomato paste. Stir and cook for 1-2
more minutes.

Add in can of crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
Turn up heat to med high, stir to combine.
Add in seasonings, stir to combine.
Bring up to a boil, turn heat down to a low simmer, cover
and cook for 45 minutes. Stir occassionally.

After 45 minutes give it a taste test. Add seasonings as you
wish. Stir and cook for another 10 minutes.

Serve over spaghetti and top with parmesan cheese.
Or add parmesan cheese to sauce, add spaghetti, stir to

For my taste, I would omit the mushrooms, but add some celery and garlic powder.
Looks good.

Always scoop my spaghetti on top of my noodles the first night and then mix it all together in one bowl for leftovers the next day. Unless I’m freezing it then I don’t mix noodles in at all thank you I will definitely try this recipe in the next couple of days
