Fish -1/2kg(preferably king fish)
Fish Tamarind -2 big piece
Ginger-1 big piece
Curry leaves-2 strings
Fenugreek powder-one pinch
Dry red chilli-2 (slits)
Clean and wash fish ..Cut into medium pieces ..
Mix all powders in little amount of water and mix ..keep aside ..
Heat coconut oil and splutter mustard seed d fenugreek seeds along with curry leaves ..
Then add thin long slices of ginger ,garlic and green chilli ..
Saute for 1 minute and then add onions and saute till transparent
Now lower the heat and add chilli paste mix ..
Saute until the raw smell goes..
Then pour hot water and add salt ..
Then add fish tamarind(kudam puli) and boil well ..
Finally add fish and cook for about 15 minutes in medium heat by closing the kadai
Open and cook till a thick gravy reaches
Check the salt.Allow to cool for sometime.. It will be more good if it sits for bit long ..
Serve with kappa or rice …
