Keema Aloo Masala (Mince Meat Potato) Recipe By Chef Shaheen

is a tasty non veg main course dish.Mince meat or keema is cooked in gravy with masalas then potatoes are added to it. It is in a gravy form so we can have it with rice as well as rotis,naans etc.

Ingredients
Mince meat or keema ………….. 250 g
Potatoes …………………………… ..2 large cut.
Tomatoes …………………………. .3 medium.
Green chillies ……………………… 3.
Onion paste …………………………2 medium.
Oil …………………………………. …..3 Tbsp.
Green coriander …………………..to garnish.
Whole garam masala……………1 large cardamom ,2 green cardamom,8 cloves , 8 black pepper.
Turmeric powder ………………. .1/2 tsp.
Ginger & garlic paste …………. 2 1/2 tsp.
Red chilli powder …………….. ..3 tsp.
Salt ……………………………… …..to taste.
Coriander powder …………….. 3 tsp.
Garam masala paste ……….. .1 tsp.

Method-

1) Put 3-4 Tbsp of oil heat,add all the masalas fry them.

2) Add onion paste fry till it becomes pink or light brown in colour add ginger & garlic paste again fry , add turmeric powder.

3) Now add chilli powder add little bit of water add coriander powder,add paste of garam masalas .Fry well add tomatoes and green chillies now cook it till tomatoes are cooked well.It will take about 5 min.

4) Add keema to it ,add salt again mix properly.Add coriander leaves now add 200 ml of water.

5) Cook in pressure cooker for 20 min or till keema is done, open the cooker,put potatoes if required add water and give 2 pressures.

What is the purpose of shifting it to the preassure cooker? Can I just add the potatoes to the wok, add water, cover with lid, and let it simmer over low heat until the potatoes are soft?
