How To Make a Loose Meat Sandwich ~ Ground Beef Recipe

This is my recipe for loose meat sandwiches that were made popular by the Roseanne show. This loose meat sandwich recipe uses ground beef and just a few seasonings.. It is easy and delicious. Sometimes called a Tavern Sandwich.. A great easy and quick lunch or dinner sandwich that can be ready in under 30 minutes.. Enjoy.

When we were growing up Mum made this recipe often but she added a tin of sliced mushrooms into it. We ate it on cheese-toast or on top of mashed potatoes or buttered noodles… We liked it because it was fast cooking and a family favorite on evenings when everyone wanted to hurry so we could watch Masterpiece Theatre on PBS. I make it for my sons but I grate the onion on my cheese grater so it melts into the meat.My goofy sons wont eat anything that has visible onions in it.
