This looks beautiful and I will try it for sure. I didn’t realize tomatillos were in the gooseberry family. Makes sense though. We used to grow gooseberries when I was a child and my dad loved pie made from them. Take care and thanks, as always, for your wonderful recipes.

I wasn’t going to comment because I haven’t made the sweet Thai potato soup yet.
But I’ll probably try this first. Sometimes it’s nice to skip tomato based salsa and enjoy verde, but I only do it at restaurants. I bought tomatillos once, but it didn’t really work. I skipped the charring. Thank you Blakely.

I love salsa verde, it goes well with beef, chicken and pork, or just from a bowl with chips. Pork carnitas tacos with salsa verde is one of my all time favorite Mexican dishes!
